Posted on July
22, 2007 it was fitting that the premier episode be The
Sasquatch Brew Festival,
held in Eugene, Oregon. This fest is a fundraiser for the Glen Hay Falconer Memorial Foundation,
established in honor of my late Significant Other. It is a fundraiser
for the Foundation to continue a
brewing scholarship
program established in Glen’s honor. These scholarships are full rides to the
Siebel Institute
in Chicago, IL valued at $10,000 each. You can find information about the foundation and an application by clicking
here. |

With my PDA recorder and camera in hand I spoke with Quentin Falconer, Glen’s brother, and this years scholarship winners Jacob Leanord assistant brewer at
Walking Man Brewery in Stevenson Washington and Corey Blodget with
Mcmenamins Cornelius Pass Roadhouse and Brewery in Hillsboro Oregon.
I also speak with Wakonda Brewing
Company's Juanita Kirkland, she speaks about affects that the proposed Oregon Beer Tax would have on small breweries like
Wakonda if passed.
